Hey There!

Thanks for visiting my little corner of the internet!

As a wife, mom, educator, and Nutritional Health Practitioner, I wear many hats. This site is an attempt to marry the best (and sometimes worst) of those worlds.

A Little About Me

I grew up in small-town Saskatchewan, Canada, and earned my Bachelor of Education in 2012. Teaching quickly became a passion—I loved creating engaging lessons and sharing resources that brought learning to life. I started Sask Thinking Classroom as a way to share my passion for engagement and inquiry-based instruction.

A few years later, after struggling with my own health, I pursued further education with a degree in Nutrition, Diet, and Health Science. What began as a personal journey to heal my body soon grew into something much bigger. In 2017, I founded Roxy’s Nutrition, built on the belief that everyone deserves access to clear, practical, and holistic health information.

Alongside my work in education, I completed a Master of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (2024), with a focus on Indigenous and Anti-Oppressive Education and Media Studies. I also continue to run Sask Thinking Classroom on Teachers Pay Teachers, where I’ve shared resources with educators worldwide for over seven years.

In 2024, I expanded my nutrition practice with Roxy’s Ready Meals, offering balanced, oven-ready freezer meals to my community. And in 2025, I became certified in Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) Testing, allowing me to provide even more personalized approaches to wellness.

None of this would be possible without the love and support of my family, friends, and community. I’m grateful you’re here, and I hope you find something that inspires, nourishes, or supports you on your own journey.

All About My Thinking Classroom - (SASK TC)

11 years ago, I began my teaching journey and acquired a strong passion for inquiry-based learning. I found students had the ability to gain not only academic knowledge but also life skills through inquiry-based assignments. Students could develop their problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and independence. I began signing up for every Inquiry Professional Development opportunity that I could. Cue Peter Liljedahl and the Thinking Classroom.

The PD was life-changing. I was filled with new energy for teaching! The very next day I briefed my class on what I had learned and that we were going to try this together and just JUMP IN! A 60-minute class was completed in 37 minutes, we were all shocked and the kids were motivated to keep going so I moved into the next day’s lesson and completed that one too; all in the 60-minute class period.

Now I share my lessons, experiments, and units on Instagram and this platform to allow everyone access to the life-altering teaching structure that is Thinking Classroom.
